Moose
May and July, 2002


Sometimes, moose "hunting" trips are successful but picture-taking is not. During the past three months we've seen moose on at least five occasions but were only able to get photos twice, once in May, once in July. Bill himself has seen them three times this month, during daytime while on the road for work. Other times, it was almost dark and the critters were very fleeting. But it's always a thrill to see them!

May - This young bull was in our favorite spot near Notch Pond Rd. in Brighton.

May - The same trip, we saw another moose right near the first one.



July moose

July - Visiting family always love to look for moose with us. On the first trip to Averill with Steve, Toni and Thomas, we saw two in the dark but no pictures.
This one posed on our second trip.

This is my brother Steve in his "hunting" stance.

July - This picture came out totally black but with some enhancement, she shows up.
She was one of the five we saw that night, a successful hunt!
