It's become a tradition for Bill & I to travel northeast to the Connecticut Lakes region of far northern New Hampshire. What a great place to hike, canoe and enjoy wildlife! This year, on the trip there we saw this big bull moose in Averill, Vermont.

While hiking north of the 2nd Connecticut Lake, we came upon a pair of Canada jays. We'd always heard how bold these northern birds were so I decided to try my luck at feeding them some bread crusts. Within moments of offering the bread, they were landing on my hand and grabbing a prize. It was an awesome experience!
