
May, 2007 - It's spring in Vermont and occasionally you see moose grazing on the lush new grass. Doesn't he look awkward? This big guy was seen in Morgan, Vermont.

It's become a tradition for Bill & I to travel northeast to the Connecticut Lakes region of far northern New Hampshire. What a great place to hike, canoe and enjoy wildlife! This year, on the trip there we saw this big bull moose in Averill, Vermont. ![]() ![]() |
While hiking north of the 2nd Connecticut Lake, we came upon a pair of Canada jays. We'd always heard how bold these northern birds were so I decided to try my luck at feeding them some bread crusts. Within moments of offering the bread, they were landing on my hand and grabbing a prize. It was an awesome experience! ![]() ![]() |
